Product Description
Our Astor Extending Dining Table adapts to whatever the day asks of it, seating four for an ordinary supper and up to eight once the leaf is out.
Made from solid oak and oak veneers, the top is left clean and unadorned so the grain runs the length of the table, while a band of reeded detailing wraps the apron beneath it - the one flourish on an otherwise quiet piece, and a direct nod to Deco cabinetmaking.
Closed, it measures 1.4m and sits comfortably in a kitchen diner or a smaller dining room. Extended (the leaf stores inside the table), it opens to 1.85m, giving you the length for a full family gathering without needing a second table.
Four gently tapered legs sit at the corners rather than inboard, keeping the underside clear so a chair fits at every place.
It pairs naturally with the dining chairs in our Astor range, and with the sideboards if you want the same reeded detail carried across the room.
