Our Dangly Leg Santa Gonk With White Shoes is a cheerful little shelf sitter, bringing a playful Scandi touch to your Christmas decorating.
The gonk has its roots in Scandinavian folklore, where he is the Tomte in Sweden and the Nisse in Norway and Denmark. These small gnome-like beings were said to look after homes and farms, especially at Christmas, bringing luck to those who were good to them. Cross one and he could turn mischievous, so a bowl of porridge was put out for him at Christmas.
His sculpted head has a tall, curling red and grey striped hat with a white zigzag pattern, pulled down over his eyes, a little pink nose and a long, wavy white beard. Red mittens peep out at his sides.
