A Unique collection of modern solid wood furniture
Like the tree from which it was cut, each piece of solid wood is unique in its grain, structure and color. Branches, fine cracks, adhesions and holes testify to the authenticity of the material, with the location of the tree, weather and soil conditions creating the character of each piece of solid wood and make it a truly unique piece of nature.
From this special material, we combine a timeless design with clever features to create an extraordinary unique collection of modern solid wood furniture.
These natural pieces are available in the three types of wood: wild acacia, reef beech and solid oak.
The reef beech and solid oak are specially treated wood surfaces.
First, the wood is blasted with a special granulate. This will remove the soft parts of the wood surface and make it extremely rough.
These surfaces are then smoothed with a brushing machine and hand-finished and covered with water-based paint and wax.
Using this process, the surfaces take on the character of wood etched by wind and weather and the finished natural pieces get their unique natural look
With the wild acacia, we use specially selected wood, which we glue into sheets of alternating light sapwood and dark heartwood.
Since sapwood and heartwood have a different drying behavior, large acacia surfaces can feel slightly wavy.
