Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.

Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak 90cm Square Wall Mirror gives you a large, balanced square of glass framed in solid oak, a shape that suits walls a rectangle does not.
Square mirrors look particularly good centred above a sideboard, a fireplace or a console table, where the equal sides echo the symmetry of the furniture beneath. At 90cm across it is big enough to anchor a wall and throw a good deal of light back into the room.
The broad oak frame gives the glass a solid border with real substance, and the deep, dark stain matches the rest of the Sherwood range. Because a square has no right way up, it is also one of the simplest mirrors to hang.
