Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.
Not too modern and not too traditional, Sherwood suits homes that want warmth and weight without period fuss. The darker tone sits comfortably against neutral walls and works as well with cream and stone as it does with deeper greens and blues.

Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak Corner Display Cabinet gives a collection a proper home in a corner that would otherwise stand empty.
A tall glazed door opens onto glass shelves, so the light reaches every level and the pieces on the bottom shelf are as visible as those at the top. Glass, china, ornaments and anything else worth showing off sit behind the door, clear of dust and small hands.
Below it, a solid panelled door closes over a cupboard for the things that do not need to be on view - spare glasses, table linen, the everyday rather than the best.
At 1.8 metres tall on a narrow corner footprint, it adds height to a room without eating into the floor, which makes it as useful in a dining room as it is in a living room or a hallway. The deep, dark stained oak frames the glazing without competing with what is behind it.
