Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.

Product Description
Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak High End Double Bed gives a main bedroom a proper centrepiece, with tall slatted ends front and back framing the mattress on both sides.
The matching heights give the bed a symmetry that a low-footed frame does not have, and the vertical slats stop all that solid oak turning into a wall at the end of the room. It is a shaker shape throughout - straight lines, square posts and no carving anywhere.
A solid slatted base comes with it, so the mattress sits directly on timber with air moving underneath, and there is no divan to buy separately.
Our Sherwood Low End Double Bed is the same frame with a lower foot, which suits rooms where the bed sits opposite a window or a television. Our Sherwood chests, bedsides and blanket boxes furnish the rest of the room in the same finish.
