Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.

Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak High End King Size Bed takes the extra width a king mattress needs and carries it on a frame heavy enough to look right doing so.
Tall slatted ends at both head and foot give the bed a symmetry that reads as deliberate rather than accidental, and the vertical slats keep five feet of solid oak from becoming a solid mass at either end.
A king size frame asks more of its construction than a double does, simply because there is more span to support. This one uses solid timber rather than veneered board throughout, and the slatted base is included, so the mattress sits directly on wood with no divan needed.
Our Sherwood Low End King Size Bed offers the same frame with a lower foot. For a larger room again, our Sherwood High End Super King Bed adds another foot of width.
