Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.

Product Description
Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak High End Single Bed brings solid timber construction to a single or twin bedroom, with a tall slatted headboard and a matching foot end of the same height.
The vertical slats run through both ends, which keeps the bed feeling open rather than boxed in despite the weight of the oak. It is a shaker shape - plain, upright and free of carving - and it suits a child's room growing up into a teenager's just as well as it suits a guest room.
A solid slatted base is included, so there is no divan to buy and the mattress sits on timber rather than on a fabric-covered box. Air moves underneath it, which mattresses prefer.
Our Sherwood Low End Single Bed is also available with the same frame and a lower foot end, where you would rather see across the room. Our Sherwood chests and bedsides complete the bedroom.
