Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.

Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak High End Super King Bed is the largest frame in the range, built for bedrooms with the floor space to carry six feet of bed comfortably.
Tall slatted ends at head and foot frame the mattress symmetrically, and at this width that matters - a super king without proper ends can look like a mattress that has been put down and forgotten about.
Width is where a bed frame is tested, so the construction is solid oak throughout with square posts at each corner and a slatted base included as standard. The mattress sits directly on timber, air moves beneath it, and there is no divan to buy.
Our Sherwood Low End Super King Bed is the same frame with a lower foot end. Where the room is a little tighter, our Sherwood High End King Size Bed gives up a foot of width without changing the look.
