Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.

Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak 6ft8 Extending Dining Table is the largest table in the range, made for big families and for people who like a full table.
Closed, it is 6ft 8in long and seats eight comfortably, which is already more than most dining tables manage. Extended, it reaches almost 2.7 metres and takes ten, turning a dining room into a proper place for Sunday lunch, birthdays and Christmas.
A table this long needs to be built for it, and this one is solid oak throughout with a thick top made to carry the length. The legs are square and set at the corners, leaving the long sides clear for chairs.
The deep, dark stain matches the rest of the Sherwood range, and our Sherwood Large 3 Drawer Sideboard gives a room of this scale the storage to match.
