Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.

Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak Low End King Size Bed gives you the width of a king mattress with a foot end low enough to keep the room feeling open.
A king size bed already takes up a good deal of floor, so the lower foot does real work here - it stops the frame reading as a block from the doorway and leaves the wall opposite the bed visible rather than hidden behind timber.
The tall slatted headboard still gives the bed presence where it counts, and the whole frame is solid oak in the deep dark stain that runs through the Sherwood range. A slatted base is included, so the mattress sits on timber with no divan underneath.
Our Sherwood High End King Size Bed matches both ends in height where symmetry is wanted, and our Sherwood Low End Super King Bed does the same job in a wider size again.
