Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.

Product Description
Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak Open Coffee Table keeps things simple - a solid top at the right height, and a shelf underneath for everything else.
The top is just over 90cm long, a sensible size for most living rooms that leaves space to walk round it. The undershelf runs the full size of the frame, taking books, magazines, a basket of throws or a board game so that the top stays clear for cups and the odd plate.
Without drawers the piece stays light and open in appearance, which suits smaller rooms where a heavier table would dominate the space between the sofa and the television.
The chunky square legs and thick top are solid oak in the same deep, dark stain as the rest of the Sherwood range. Our Sherwood Coffee Table with Drawers adds two drawers and a little more length, and our Sherwood Side Table completes the arrangement at the end of the sofa.
