Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.
Not too modern and not too traditional, Sherwood suits homes that want warmth and weight without period fuss. The darker tone sits comfortably against neutral walls and works as well with cream and stone as it does with deeper greens and blues.

Product Description
Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak Small Sideboard gives a dining room or living room a full set of storage in a piece just under a metre wide.
Two drawers across the top take cutlery, table mats, napkins and candles, and two panelled cupboards below hold plates, serving dishes and the glassware that does not get used every day. It is the classic sideboard arrangement, simply scaled for rooms that cannot take a long one.
The top sits at a comfortable working height for serving from, and it is wide enough for a lamp and a display without becoming cluttered.
It is also the base for our Sherwood Small Glazed Dresser Top, which sits on it to turn the pair into a full dresser with glazed display above. Our Sherwood Large 3 Drawer Sideboard gives you the same design at over one and a half metres long.
