Our Sherwood range is built from solid oak and finished in a deep, warm stain that draws the grain out and gives every piece a quietly rustic character.
The pieces are substantial rather than delicate - generous tops, solid timber rather than veneered board, and a smooth finish that shows the natural variation in the wood.
Every drawer in the range is dovetailed. That means the drawer front is locked into the sides rather than just being dowelled or screwed. This type of joint stops a front working loose and coming away in your hand after a few years of pulling. It is not something you can see once the drawer is shut, which is precisely why cheaper furniture does without it.
Metal handles in a soft antique brass finish complete the look.

Our Sherwood Dark Solid Oak Square Extending Dining Table is a compact square table for everyday use that doubles in length when the family comes round.
Closed, it measures 91.5cm square - the right size for a small kitchen or a breakfast corner, with four people sitting comfortably around it and nobody stuck at a corner. Extended, it flips open to 1.83 metres long, which takes six people for a proper sit-down meal.
That ability to change shape is what makes a square extending table so useful in a smaller home. It spends most of the year taking up very little floor, and the extra length is there when it is needed rather than all the time.
The top and legs are solid oak in the same deep, dark stain as the rest of the Sherwood range, with chunky square legs set at the corners so they stay out of the way of knees.
