Each Edge sculpture is hand crafted in Shropshire. After the initial sculpture is created in clay, a long process begins to create the mould where your piece will begin its life.
Your sculpture is created by pouring a special mixture of stone and resign into the mould and allowing it to set.
Once the base sculpture is removed from the mould and sanded off it initially received an application of a masonry grade undercoat in either matt brown or matt black before moving on to the painting studio where the all-important colour patterns are hand applied by brush and spray gun.
All pieces are skilfully hand-painted utilising a high-quality, water based, masonry grade paint to maintain both a beautiful and hardy finish that can withstand both an interior and exterior environment. So your sculpture can live outside as long as care is taken not to allow any bleaching process from sunlight to occur by leaving sculpting in the same place constantly looking at the sun.
The finishing touch comes with the application of a thin coat of a water based matte lacquer, or sealant, utilising a carefully prepared spray gun.
Your hand crafted Edge sculpture is now ready for you to take home and enjoy for many years to come.
